\u00a9JNTO)\n\t\t\t\t<\/dd><\/dl>\n\t\t\t<br style='clear: both' \/>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>Okinawa war bis 1879 etwa 450 Jahre lang das unabh\u00e4ngige K\u00f6nigreich Ryukyu. Es betrieb aktiven Handel mit Japan, China und S\u00fcdostasien. In diesem Zeitraum bildete sich die Basis der Kultur Okinawas. Sie zeichnet sich beispielsweise aus durch das Instrument <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Sanshin<\/span>, welches ein Vorl\u00e4ufer der Shamisen ist, sowie durch die bunt eingef\u00e4rbten Stoffe namens <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Bingata<\/span>, oder auch durch <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Awamori<\/span>, ein einheimisches alkoholisches Getr\u00e4nk.<br \/>\nAndere Kulturg\u00fcter wie etwa <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Ryukyu-Glas<\/span> entstanden erst unter dem U.S.-amerikanischen Einfluss w\u00e4hrend der Besatzungszeit durch die U.S.A. nach dem Ende des zweiten Weltkriegs.<br \/>\nIn der Entwicklung der Kultur Okinawas spielte sicherlich auch die geographische Lage mit der gr\u00f6\u00dferen Entfernung zu japanischen Hauptinsel und dem subtropischen Klima eine entscheidende Rolle.
