Der Otaru-Kanal sowie die zahlreichen steinernen historischen Geb\u00e4ude, die \u00fcberall in der Stadt verstreut liegen, machen einen Ausflug nach Otaru so empfehlenswert. Hier finden Sie die verschiedensten Landschaftsbilder wie Wald, See und Meer. In dem Weltnaturerbe-Gebiet Shiretoko k\u00f6nnen Sie Wale und viele weiteren einzigartige Tiere und Pflanzen beobachten. Nennenswert sind z.B. die Farm Tomita, die ber\u00fchmt ist f\u00fcr ihren Lavendel, oder der sogenannte &#8222;Patchwork-Weg&#8220;, der an vielen verschiedenen Feldern vorbeif\u00fchrt und damit an einen Flickenteppich erinnert.
